Schlaf
For Michael Venus’ German arthouse horror debut Schlaf, I was invited to create a series of drawings that visually trace and interpret the film’s narrative. The film follows Marlene, who is tormented by recurring nightmares she believes to be real. When she slips into a comatose sleep, her daughter Mona begins to uncover the source — a remote village hotel and a haunting family curse that blurs the line between dream and reality. My sketches and notes accompanied this descent into the subconscious, blending visual intuition with psychological tension.
